Key Programmes
- Networking
We promote and expand local, Pan African and international cooperative and collaborative efforts by networking, pooling information, sharing resources, building dialogue through constructive and creative engagement.
- Actual animal rescues and legal action
We undertake the rescue of animals who are under direct threat of being abused or killed, or who are victims of accidental or deliberate violence. Where animals are at risk of being placed in situations that are potentially harmful to their physical or emotional well-being, we initiate legal actions and/or public campaigns in order to protest their interests.
- Lobbying
We constantly lobby for transparency, accountability and access to information. And we lobby relentlessly for change.
- Outreach & Education
Our campaigns contribute towards increased public awareness and changing attitudes and belief systems regarding the relationships between all species, thereby combating cruelty and exploitation, as well as combating apathy.
- Research and Investigations
We undertake research activities with the explicit purpose of reflecting underrepresented viewpoints and getting material out and making it relevant. We expose the facts
- Analysis and Communication
We produce an independent source of credible expertise and accurate information on wider animal rights topics
- Advocacy
We engage in effective political dialogue based on the robust presentation of alternative positions. We aim to ensure that what is today regarded as "alternative" will tomorrow be regarded as "mainstream".
